- All modesSeason 3 has started. Every ranked board starts again from zero, and Seasons 1 and 2 stay browsable on the leaderboards.
- CareerCareer mode: take over a real club from the top flight of any of the 14 editions, with its real 26/27 squad, in its real league, at its real stadium.
- CareerEvery club starts in one of four bands: Giant, Contender, Mid-table or Underdog. The board sets your target from it before kick-off, and a giant is expected to finish in the top 3.
- CareerMiss the board's target two seasons in a row and you are fired. Relegation ends the run straight away.
- Dynasty & CareerA Job security meter on the hub shows how safe you are, from Secure to Final warning, and what is moving it.
- CareerReal players age, improve and retire. Your academy brings through youngsters with names of their own, and new talent keeps arriving across the world as the years go by.
- CareerThe AI clubs fight back: they sign upgrades, replace ageing stars and sell their surplus, and clubs go up and down the divisions every season.
- CareerCareer Score has its own leaderboard, right next to Dynasty. You are ranked on what your squad was expected to do, so an underdog's title is worth far more than a giant winning on schedule. Filter by edition, band, season or club.

- Dynasty & CareerMatchday Economy: money now comes in after every home match. Set one ticket price and watch the expected crowd, sell-outs and income change as you move it.
- Dynasty & CareerYour stadium now has 10 levels, from one small stand to an 80,000-seat arena. Each level takes a few matchdays to build. Existing Dynasty grounds move over on their own.
- Dynasty & CareerSeven new stadium buildings: concessions, a megastore, a hotel, fan facilities, transport and parking, a museum and a safe-standing end. Matchday upgrades like an LED ring, a big screen and flares are in too.
- Dynasty & CareerA new Finances screen: every payment in and out, money by matchday, a forecast for the season and your last three seasons.
- Dynasty & CareerA Members plan with three tiers for a steady income, and a third kit you design and sell once a season.

- All modesTactics, roles, morale and form are rebalanced in every mode. Stacking them no longer gives a huge edge, so squad quality matters more.
- All modesFitness has a real cost now: a tired player plays well below his rating. Auto-pick rotates your squad, and before kick-off you get a warning with a one-tap rotate.
- Dynasty & CareerAcademy: a promoted youngster's place is refilled straight away, and academy players can play more than one position.
- All modesReal flag images on every device, and England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland now each have their own flag.
