Dynasty Transfers: The Summer and Winter Windows, Funds & Unrest
Your squad isn't fixed. Every season you reshape it in the transfer market, and in Dynasty there are two windows: the main summer window before the season kicks off, and a second, shorter winter window at the halfway point.
Budget and board funds
The board's confidence is money: their backing becomes budget, and a crisis can freeze your signings. You can go to the boardroom to ask for funds, and a strong first half can unlock a war chest for the winter window. Wages are paid every league matchday, so every signing adds to your wage bill. Each deal shows your season-end balance before and after it, and what Financial Fair Play would make of it.
Signings
Sell first, then sign. The market is drawn from the all-time pool, and your reputation decides which names are unlocked: a third-tier minnow attracts squad players, while a world-class institution can sign superstars. Winter fees run high, so the summer window is where most of the building happens.
Rival bids & winter unrest
Opening the winter window puts your best players in the shop window. Bids are realistic: a 90+ player only draws offers from the edition's biggest clubs, and no bid goes wildly over his value. Turn down a big bid and your star can feel unwanted, a winter unrest saga that starts with sulking in training and, left unmanaged, escalates all the way to a dressing-room mutiny. Sometimes cashing in on a sulking star is the smart move.
Contract talks
Players who barely played (under 40% of league matches) can ask to leave at the season end. Before the summer window opens you decide: offer a new deal, or let him go. Academy graduates and your top scorer never ask.
