Understanding the Eras — Every Era Mode Explained
KAISER can shift which generations of players fill your draft pool. It's the quickest way to change the feel of a run — and to settle the eternal "which era was best" argument on the pitch. Here's every mode.
Standard — the all-time pool, recency-weighted
The default. Every era is available, but the draft leans toward more recent seasons, so you get a rich all-time spread with a modern tilt. Best for learning an edition and for the Daily Challenge.
Zoomer — the modern game (2016+)
Narrows the pool to roughly the last decade. A purely contemporary XI — no nostalgia, just the players today's fans know best.
Millennial — the turn of the century onward (1996+)
Opens up the late-90s and 2000s golden generations alongside the moderns. The sweet spot for many editions, blending peak nostalgia with current stars. (In editions without a Boomer era, such as Japan and Korea, Millennial reaches back to the league's founding.)
Boomer — the deep history
Reaches all the way back to an edition's earliest seasons (Germany from 1963, Brazil from 1959, and so on). This is where the true legends of the black-and-white era live — draft the pioneers and the golden-age greats.
How to use them
Grinding the Daily Challenge? Learn the default pool cold. Playing for fun? Spin up an era-locked run — a Boomer-era Brazil or a Zoomer England plays completely differently — then share the seed and dare a friend to beat it in the same era.
