Tactics & Trade-offs Explained
KAISER's tactics aren't free power-ups — each is a deliberate trade-off. Push for more attacking output and you leave gaps at the back; sit deep and you starve your forwards. That tension is the whole game.
Match tactics to your squad
A high press punishes weaker opponents and suits fit, athletic teams — but it's suicidal if your defence is slow, because every turnover becomes a counter. If you've drafted classy but ageing legends, a controlled, lower block often scores higher.
Match tactics to the moment
Chasing a game late? Tilt aggressive and accept the risk. Protecting a lead in a cup knockout? Tighten up, even at the cost of possession. The best players change instructions as the season — and the match — demands.
Team style sets the baseline
Before individual instructions, your Defensive / Balanced / Attacking style shifts the whole team's shape and risk. Pick the style that matches your intent, then fine-tune with tactics — don't fight your own baseline.
Don't stack conflicting buffs
Piling on instructions that pull in opposite directions cancels their benefit and doubles the cost. Pick a clear identity — control, counter, or press — and commit to it.
