Player Traits & Playstyles, the Complete Guide
Many players in KAISER carry a signature trait, a playstyle shown as an icon next to their name. Traits are a fixed part of a player's identity: the same legend always has the same one, in every run and on every seed. The biggest stars almost always carry a trait; lower down the pool they get rarer. Here's what each one does. Hover any trait icon in-game to see its exact effect.
Match-winning traits
- 🥶 Clutch, raises his game in decisive matches (cup knockouts and the season run-in).
- 🌟 Big-Game Player, extra dangerous when you're the underdog against a stronger side.
- 🎖️ Leader, lifts the whole team while on the pitch; make him captain for even more.
- 🎼 Maestro, runs the show in a possession side (Tiki / Play Short).
- 🦊 Poacher, lives for tap-ins and scraps; scores more of the ugly ones.
- 🎩 Playmaker, creates far more than his share of assists.
- 🎪 Target Man, thrives on direct, long-ball service.
- ⚡ Speedster, deadly on the counter; more solo goals.
- 🗼 Aerial Threat, wins more headers and set-piece duels.
- 🎯 Set-Piece Specialist / 🪄 Free-Kick Wizard / 👑 Penalty King, take and convert your dead balls; they auto-take even if you don't assign them.
- 🧱 Rock / 🧤 Commander, steady the defence; the Commander is a goalkeeper who keeps more out.
- 🔋 Engine / 🐎 Workhorse, run all day and shrug off fatigue.
- 🌱 Wonderkid, a rising talent punching above his rating.
Flaws to weigh up
- 🩹 Injury Prone, picks up knocks more often.
- 🌋 Hothead, sees more yellow and red cards.
- 🎲 Inconsistent, brilliant one week, anonymous the next.
Building around traits
Traits reward smart squad-building. Pair a Target Man with Direct / Launch-It tactics, a Maestro with possession football, or hand the armband to a Leader. Assign a Penalty King as your taker and he'll ice them from the spot. And weigh the flaws, an Injury Prone superstar might need cover, and a Hothead in a fiery derby is a red-card risk.
